Your flight simulator ATC only includes a few hundreds. There are thousands of airlines and other flight operators in the world having a callsign (or “telephony designator” to be pedantic) assigned. EditVoicepack can process the voices and create slight variations decreasing the risk of the exact same voice being used by multiple pilots or controllers at the same time. Your flight simulator only comes with 10 voices, making it very likely you will hear multiple pilots or controllers with the same voice. Speaking faster also allows ATC to direct traffic more efficiently and you will find it easier to communicate with ATC. You can also select FAA phraseology and still get an improvement or two over the default ATC included with your flight simulator. It is possible to pick and choose which phraseology changes to include or even create your own.ĮditVoicepack lets you adjust how fast the flight simulator ATC speaks providing a more realistic experience around congested international airports like John F. These examples and more are included with EditVoicepack and all you have to do to get them is select ICAO phraseology when running EditVoicepack. … ready for departure … instead of: …ready for takeoff…Ĭontact ground on 109 2 instead of: Contact ground on 109 2 United 323, Line up and wait runway 17L instead of: United 653, Position and hold runway 18L This is a great addition for those who want to fly like the olden days. With the – optional – ICAO phraseology enabled you will hear changes like: This plane features a complete 3D model, realistic buttons, and a whole 3D cabin. The Concorde by Gary Hunter is one of the best Concordes ever donw for X-Plane. Even without the 3D cockpit it is a great plane and a great addition to your X-Plane plane collection. It includes all the normal things you would expect in a quality plane except for a 3D cockpit.

X-Plane Version 10.50: What is new Laminar Research has released version 10.50 of X-Plane. Q: What Graphics for X-Plane do you think should be fixed?Ī: Well I think that they should add working terminal gates, moving traffic, and improve the cars and the roads because i have seen clumps of road that are right, left, backwards, and upside down. The best X-Plane addon that they have is a 777-200LR which is alright but still needs a lot of work compared to the FSX features. They look almost exactly like the real thing, and they even act like it too. It could use a lot more work with the graphics, atc, and the addons could be a lot better.Ī: Well there are people like captainsim who create amazing planes for FSX. Q: So how do you think X-Plane is as a flight simulator?Ī: I think that it is a really good simulator to start with.
